Cow print, but make it fashion.

Who knew that this controversial cow print would look so cute?! When I first saw this print, I was like, hmmm…

And then I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I did a poll earlier this week and over 60% voted “Hell No” on my Instagram story for this print, but let me tell you, I got some DMs about people absolutely loving this print and wanting to see me make something out of it! I think it’s the kind of print people don’t know they love until they see it in its full glory. That, and I love going against the grain.

So since it’s a new year, I figured my first sewing project should be a go big or go home kinda project. And I really love this dress! Now people can stop making fun of my cowboy boots, because I’m a real cowgirl, y’all.

Cowgirl | Scarlet Stitch
Pattern: McCall’s #M7946 // View: C // Size: 14 // Fabric: Rayon Challis from Lowry Fabrics

Hopefully we can start to normalize this print so it’s as much loved as the usual leopard or zebra print. Will it work, who knows? Who cares!

  1. Very nice print! I especially love the sleeves and neckline on this dress. It would also work well as a top with jeans and cowboy boots. You definitely can’t buy this 🙂
    Happy new sewing year!
